Breads, Rolls, Biscuits, Shortcakes, Muffins, Cinnamon Buns, Waffles, Cream Puffs

This is a digitization of my great grandmother's cookbook. The original was written by Elizabeth M. McGinley some time before I was born. I hope that making the recipes herein easier to read and search will lead to them seeing more use.

Breads, Rolls, Biscuits, Shortcakes, Muffins, Cinnamon Buns, Waffles, Cream Puffs

All sorrows are less with bread and all joys greater

No alchemy is needed to turn a simple pasta of flour and water and shortening into a glorious confection - only the light hand of a careful cook and the hot breath of the oven

Sweet are the [unreadable] of baking.

Digitizer’s Note

I’m not sure what that word is in the last quote. A quick google couldn’t find anything either. Help, please?
